India is heading towards another parliament formation in the recent future. The polling is over and now the result has become eagle’s eye for most of the people all over the country. When any single party looses its majority, it attempts to form the government by forming alliances with a group of parties.
The problem is that in context of Indian politics, the desperation for the power often leads the parties to horse trading.
While the regional parties start negotiating for the benefits of their own region, some national level parties start looking at their own political mileage for the future. There is no harm in such a demand, where the parties will look forward to their growth or the benefits of their regions. The problem comes, when the negotiation is started for some undue advantages. It has also happened that one regional party had extended support to the largest party to retain the government just for their own vested interests.
It is heard that the leader of the regional political party had tried to ensure the withdrawal of all CBI cases against him.
This is where the entire objective is screwed up. If the party supports for his own personal benefits, then the entire objective of formation of alliance is lost. Somehow, India is such a country, where everything is possible and there is nothing unfair in politics.
I was just now googling around about this when I stumbled on your post. I’m simply stopping by to say that I truly liked reading this post, it’s very clear and well written. Are you going to write more about this? It looks like there is more material here for more posts.
