Surendrantah College publishes merit list

Surendranath College, Kolkata has published their merit list for admission to several Honours and General courses for the academic session 2009 - 2010.

The merit list has been pasted on the college notice board. The merit list is also available in their web site. It is to be noted that the admission starts from June 17, 2009.

The college has received the applications from an unprecedented number of students this year, but can accommodate only as per their seat capacity - the principal says. He is also highly apprehensive about those applicants who could not get a chance in the list. It is really difficult to filter out the real good students, but the college has to work within their limits.

However, the waiting list has been displayed in the notice board of the college to open up the opportunities to the others, provided the scheduled candidates of the 1st list don’t take admission on the specified dates.

Surendranath College offers the traditional subjects like Bengali, English and Sanskrit. They also offer modern subjects like Computer Science, Microbiology and Journalism & Mass Communications.

The college offers courses in all the three prevailing segments - Science, Arts and Commerce. The college has gone one step ahead by publishing the merit list on the website this year as a step of continuous improvements. The students and the guardians can take decisions sitting at home and they need to come to the college only when they take admission.
